1924 - 1998 Member of Somers PD 1965 to 1985 Bob was the first Chief of the Somers Police Department. Through his leadership the Somers P.D. grew into the fine police department that it is today. Bobs friendliness and humor will long be remembered. After Bob retired in 1985 he continued to give back to the community serving on the Somers Drug Abuse Council and other civic organizations. |

1936 - 1993 Member of Somers P.D. 1967 to 1985 Larry served with distinction in the Somers Police Department for 18 years. His easy going nature and pleasant personality are remembered by those that knew and worked with him. After Larry retired from the police department in 1985 he remained in Somers, working for the highway department. |

1947 - 2007 Member of Somers P.D. 1976 to 2007 Ron joined the Somers PD in Jan 1976 and was one of five police officers. He served the Town of Somers for 32+ years and was a founding member of the PBA which was formed in 1995. He was the first Secretary of the Organization and served until April, 2005. There is a tree planted in memory of Ron at the front entrance of the Somer's PD Headquarters. We remember Ron as a dedicated and professional Police Officer. His humor and friendly smile will be missed. |

1941 - 2019 Member of Somers P.D. 1990 to 2019 Bob passed away July 18, 2019. Beloved husband of Helga, loving father of Corinne Stanton, Robert Stanton Jr., Janine Lamb, and Rick Stanton. Bob started his Police career joining the Mount Vernon Police Department in 1964. He advanced to Detective and retired in 1984. Bob moved to Somers in 1968 and joined the Somers Police in May of 1990. He advanced to the rank of Lieutenant. We will all miss Bob and wish his family the best. |

1941 - 2020 Member of Somers P.D. 1986 to 2017 Walter Altvater passed away May 29, 2020. He was a NYPD Police Officer, retiring after 20 years in 1983. He joined the Somers P.D. July, 1986, and retired after 31 years in 2017. |
